JUNE 1991 1.4 GTa 16v (90 bhp 'cat') launched in UK. 1.4 GTi 16v now has 103 bhp multi-point injection engine with 'cat', twin exhaust pipes, seven spoke alloy wheels, ventilated front disc brakes. Limited edition (of 500) GTi 16v (£11955) launched.

JULY 1991 1.1 with optional 'cat' now has regulated carburettor.
